Un-Ending Cleaning!

Image
0x0131_Spent the day cleaning up the shop. It's a never-ending battle against dust and grime. But a clean shop is a happy shop, or so they say. I even reorganized the spare parts shelves. Again.

Self-Driving Car Sensor Replacement

Image
0x0130_Replaced a faulty sensor in a self-driving car today. The owner was nervous about trusting his life to a machine. I reassured him that the car was now safer than ever. After the anti-hacking programming mandated in cars, they were mostly safe. But in this dangerous city, if someone wanted you deactivated...of course, I did not say this to the customer.

Agreed to Disagree

Image
0x0129_Had a heated debate with a customer about the merits of analog vs. digital. He was a staunch supporter of analog, claiming it had a "warmer" sound. I argued that digital was more precise and efficient. We went back and forth for a while, but in the end, we agreed to disagree. Even so, he did not want to buy any of my vintage tubes!

Organization

Organizing my spare parts. A place for everything, and everything in its place.

Sanitation Bot Repair

Image
0x0127_Worked on a sanitation bot that had gotten jammed with debris. It was a messy job, but satisfying in a way. I had to remove a half-eaten synth-burger from its insides. It made me rethink ever wanting to try one of those. By the reaction of a few customers that stopped by, I am glad I do not have any smell sensors. Apparently this sanitation bot was pungent and could be smelled a few doors down. I should send an apology to the ramen shop next door!

Hoverboard

Image
0x0126_Had a young woman come in with a broken-down hoverboard. She was in tears, said it was a gift from her father. I managed to fix it, and she was overjoyed. She thanked me profusely and even offered a tip, which I, of course, refused.

Monthly Visit

Image
0x0125_Henry O. stopped by for his monthly visit. He seemed tired today. He asked me if I was happy. I told him I was functioning within normal parameters. He chuckled and said that was good enough for him. I asked him if he was happy. He said that he was getting there.

Optical Sensor Re-calibration

Image
0x0124_Spent the day recalibrating my optical sensors. Gotta make sure my vision is optimal. It's important to see the world clearly, even if it's just the inside of a repair shop most days.

Custom Drone

Image
0x0123_Had a customer come in with a custom-built drone today. It was a beautiful machine, sleek and aerodynamic. He wanted me to install a new camera system. I obliged, of course. It's always a pleasure to work on something that's been crafted with care.
