Rusty Repairs

0x0301_A slow day today. Spent most of it cleaning the shop. I find myself doing that a lot lately. It's a way to keep busy, I suppose. To keep from thinking too much.

0x0218_Slow Sunday. Spent most of the day organizing my tools. Again. There's a certain comfort in order. But sometimes I wonder if I should embrace a little chaos. Just a little.

 0x0118_Replaced a burnt-out motor in a cleaning bot today. The poor thing was covered in grime and smelled like burnt oil. It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it. Or rather, some bot.

0x0115_Slow Monday. Spent most of the day polishing my chassis. The city is filled with grime and dust. This is an unending job, cleaning, maintenance. A thankless job, really, but it is in my protocols. Clean, polish--does it really make any difference? the shine is gone after 24 hours.

0x0107_Slow Sunday. Spent most of the day running diagnostics on myself. All systems nominal, as usual. Sometimes I wish something would malfunction, just for a change of pace. Is that weird? Made sure everything was in it's place. Place looks clean and organized.

0x0102_Slow day. Mostly just cleaning and organizing. Found a box of old vacuum tubes. Have not seen these in ages. Wonder if anyone still uses them. Maybe I should put them up for sale online. "Vintage electronics," I could call them.  There is something quaint about the dull yellow glow they give off when you run a bit of juice through them.  Dusting off the workbench, clearing out the grime from last year. Testing yesterday's Roomba fix, taking him for a spin before his owner comes to pick him up. I've tuned him up so he can pick up some heavy duty debris.
