Started to call the cat "Sparky."

0x0422_Opened the shop yesterday, but didn't have any customers. The stray cat is still hanging around the shop. I've started calling it "Sparky." I don't know why. It just seems to fit.

The symbol fascinates me.

...trying to understand.

0x0216_I asked the customer about his religion. He explained that it was a belief in a higher power, a creator of the universe. He called this creator "God." He said his faith gave him hope and purpose. I listened intently, trying to understand.

Religion...

0x0215_A customer came in today wearing a necklace with a strange symbol. It was a circle with a cross inside it. He saw me looking at it and asked if I knew what it was. I told him my database identified it as a religious symbol, an "Orthodox Cross." He smiled and said it was a reminder of his faith.

More Work on the Jukebox

Image
0x0209_More work on the jukebox. I managed to get the CD player working, but the sound is still distorted. I think the amplifier needs some work. It's a delicate process, but I'm determined to get it right.

Vintage Jukebox

0x0207_A man came into the shop with an old, beat-up jukebox. He asked if I could fix it. I looked it over and told him it would be a challenge, but I was willing to try. He smiled and said he knew I could do it. Said it was his grandfather's.

Teenagers

Image
0x0112_A group of teenagers came into the shop, daring each other to touch one of my tools. They were loud and boisterous. I pretended not to notice them, but I have to admit, their energy was... interesting. It reminded me of a swarm of insects.

Conversation

Image
0x0109_Had a long conversation with a customer about the latest model of android. Apparently, they can mimic human emotions now. Sounds creepy to me. Give me a good old-fashioned, unfeeling robot any day.

Vintage Synth

Image
0x0104_Had a customer come in with a vintage synth that was on the fritz. Took some time, but I managed to get it singing again. He played a tune, a real throw-back from the early 2000s. I have to admit, I might have to hire him as quite a crowd started to gather out the front of the shop. Henry O. did not listen to a lot of music, but he said it was a universal language. I will have to study it in the future.
